When I was a Longaberger consultant, we had to come up with different ideas for parties, and a fellow consultant shared this recipe to promote Grandma Bonnie's Pie Plate sales! It is really good, and you'll love it!

Food Processor


  • 1 clove
  • 1 can(s)
    dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 c
    thick salsa
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 3/4 tsp
    ground cumin
  • ·
  • 2/3 c
    sour cream
  • 3/4 c
    sliced black olives (i actually put on the side)
  • ·
    tomatoes, diced
  • ·
    green onion, sliced
  • 1/2 c
    shredded cheddar

  • ·
    tostito scoops or
  • ·
    frito scoops (my choice)

How to Make 7 Layer Mexican Dip


  1. Process in food processor: garlic, kidney beans, salsa, chili powder and cumin. Spread in pie plate.
  2. Layer following ingredients, leaving borders:
    guacamole, sour cream, tomatoes, cheese, olives, tomatoes.
  3. Serve!
