When I was a Longaberger consultant, we had to come up with different ideas for parties, and a fellow consultant shared this recipe to promote Grandma Bonnie's Pie Plate sales! It is really good, and you'll love it!

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 can dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup thick salsa
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • - guacamole
  • 2/3 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup sliced black olives (i actually put on the side)
  • - tomatoes, diced
  • - green onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar
  • SERVE WITH:
  • - tostito scoops or
  • - frito scoops (my choice)

How To Make 7 layer mexican dip

  • Step 1
    Process in food processor: garlic, kidney beans, salsa, chili powder and cumin. Spread in pie plate.
  • Step 2
    Layer following ingredients, leaving borders: guacamole, sour cream, tomatoes, cheese, olives, tomatoes.
  • Step 3
    Serve!
