"That Crab Stuff" aka Layered Seafood Dip

This is one of my significant other, Larry's, absolute favorite appetizers for me to make for football parties and any other get together we go to. It is easy to put together when you need something in a hurry.

  • 2 pkg
    8 oz. each cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 c
  • 1 pkg
    good seasons garlic and herb dry salad dressing mix
  • 1 bottle
    seafood cocktail sauce
  • 1 pkg
    (12 oz.) imitation crab
  • 1 pkg
    tiny shrimp
  • 1 c
    finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ·
    old bay seasoning

How to Make "That Crab Stuff" aka Layered Seafood Dip


  1. Soften cream cheese at room temperature. While this is softening, finely chop the package of imitation crab and set aside.
  2. With hand mixer, beat cream cheese with the mayonnaise until smooth and then beat in the dry garlic and herb dressing mix.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture on a large platter.
  4. Spread a layer of cocktail sauce over the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Put imitation crab and shrimp over the cocktail sauce. Sprinkle lightly with Old Bay seasoning.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top. Serve and enjoy!
