smoked whitefish pate
Updated on Jun 2, 2023
Smoked whitefish pate is a staple in Northern Michigan. It's easy to find and buy, but it is also easy to make. I hope you enjoy this as much as we do! Note: We like to let the smoked whitefish to shine so don't add much in the way of seasonings, but please feel free to add any seasonings to your taste.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flaked, smoked whitefish
- 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups greek yogurt
- 2 scallions, chopped
- 1 pinch kosher salt
How To Make smoked whitefish pate
-
Step 1Remove any skin on the whitefish and shred into tiny bits (removing any pin bones you find). The finer the shredding, the better.
-
Step 2Stir the cream cheese in a medium bowl. Add the yogurt and stir until smooth (you could use a whisk).
-
Step 3Stir in the flaked, smoked whitefish, scallions, and salt (to taste).
-
Step 4Serve with a variety of crackers and veggies.
