This is a delicious shrimp dish. Great when you want a different dipping sauce than the old cocktail sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 1/2 cups canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons sambal olek
  • DIPPING SAUCE
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
  • 1 tablespoon white miso
  • 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 ounces blue cheese crumbles
  • 1 cup canola oil

How To Make shrimp with miso blue dipping sauce

  • Step 1
    Mix the canola oil, garlic, and sambal olek together. Add the shrimp and let them marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Step 2
    For the dipping sauce, place the first 8 ingredients together in a blender. With the blender on low, drizzle in the oil to make an emulsion and thicken. Taste and adjust for salt.
  • Step 3
    Remove the shrimp from the marinade and grill 2 minutes per side. Serve with the dipping sauce.
