I took several dip recipes and took the things that I liked from each of them. This is what I came up with. It is very rich, but tastes very good.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp
    louisiana hot sauce
  • 2 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 2 can(s)
    shrimp, drained
  • 1/2
    yellow onion, chopped fine
  • 1/4 lb
    margarine, softened
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 4 Tbsp
    mayonnaise

How to Make Shrimp Dip

Step-by-Step

  1. Drain and rinse the shrimp. Soak the drained shrimp in the lemon juice and the hot sauce.
  2. Add the seasonings. Do this step the day before serving the dip. Keep in the refrigerator.
  3. Combine all ingredients, except shrimp, with a mixer.
  4. Add shrimp, and mix a little. Chill. Serve with crackers or Fritos.
