I took several dip recipes and took the things that I liked from each of them. This is what I came up with. It is very rich, but tastes very good.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon louisiana hot sauce
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 cans shrimp, drained
  • 1/2 - yellow onion, chopped fine
  • 1/4 pound margarine, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise

How To Make shrimp dip

  • Step 1
Drain and rinse the shrimp. Soak the drained shrimp in the lemon juice and the hot sauce.
  • Step 2
Add the seasonings. Do this step the day before serving the dip. Keep in the refrigerator.
  • Step 3
Combine all ingredients, except shrimp, with a mixer.
  • Step 4
Add shrimp, and mix a little. Chill. Serve with crackers or Fritos.
