Ingredients

  • 16 shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups clam juice or can use water
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Crystal hot sauce
  • 1 small onion, small dice
  • fresh cilantro
  • salt and pepper, to taste

How To Make shrimp cocktail

  • Step 1
    Bring the clam juice to a boil and then throw the shrimp in the boiling juice for about 2 minutes or until pink. Have a bowl of ice water ready.
  • Step 2
    With a slotted spoon, add the shrimp to the ice water to stop the cooking and allow them to cool down. Reserve the juice.
  • Step 3
    To make the sauce, mix 1/2 cup of the clam juice with the ketchup, olive oil, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
  • Step 4
    Serve with onion and cilantro.
