I came up with recipe after having some "not so special" stuffed mushrooms at a seafood restaurant. I said to my husband "I would have used this and added that and before I knew it I was eager to get cooking. This recipe has changed a little over the past 20 years but it never fails to please. The stuffing can be used to stuff fish too.

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 2 box
    large mushrooms
  • 1 box
    townhouse crackers, crushed
  • ·
1 lb. small shrimp pealed, deviened, and chopped
  • ·
    1/2 lb. scallops, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    onion powder
  • 2 stick
    butter, softened

How to Make Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms

Step-by-Step

  1. Clean and remove the stems from the mushrooms and place them on a cookie sheet.
  2. Mix the crushed crackers, garlic and onion powder, softened butter, and the raw chopped seafood. If it is too dry you can add some chicken broth to moisten it until it holds its shape when made into a small ball.
  3. fill each mushroom with a small ball of the stuffing mixture, and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
