  • 8 oz
    package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 Tbsp
    finely chopped or grated onion
  • 1 tsp
    prepared horseradish
  • 1/4 tsp
    dill, fresh
  • 15 1/2 oz
    canned salmon
  • 4 Tbsp
  • 1/4 c
    chopped walnuts or pecans
  • ·
    salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste

How to Make Salmon Balls


  1. In a mixing bowls with a hand-held electric mixer at medium speed, beat cream cheese, lemon juice, onion, horseradish, dill, salt, pepper and garlic powder until well blended
  2. Drain and flake salmon, removing skin and bones
  3. Beat into cheese mixture at low speed until well blended
  4. Chill until firm enough to handle
  5. Shape into balls with wet hands
  6. Coat with parsley and nut mixture
  7. Cover and chill thoroughly
  8. Serve with crackers
