Ingredients

  • 8 ounces package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped or grated onion
  • 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
  • 1/4 teaspoon dill, fresh
  • 15 1/2 ounces canned salmon
  • 4 tablespoons parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • - salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste
  • - crackers

How To Make salmon balls

  • Step 1
    In a mixing bowls with a hand-held electric mixer at medium speed, beat cream cheese, lemon juice, onion, horseradish, dill, salt, pepper and garlic powder until well blended
  • Step 2
    Drain and flake salmon, removing skin and bones
  • Step 3
    Beat into cheese mixture at low speed until well blended
  • Step 4
    Chill until firm enough to handle
  • Step 5
    Shape into balls with wet hands
  • Step 6
    Coat with parsley and nut mixture
  • Step 7
    Cover and chill thoroughly
  • Step 8
    Serve with crackers
