This is a family favorite..came form a friend who studied culinary skill in mexico..smaller shrimp work for the appetizers

Ingredients

  • 1 pound extra large raw shrimp
  • 1/2 pound good thin bacon
  • 1 cup kahlua or anything simular
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

How To Make roc a mar shrimp

  • Step 1
    cut bacon in thirds..wrap around each shrimp and skewer..deep fry for 5 minutes..until bacon is done..( I have broiled as well) Measure the kahlua in a fry pan and heat up until it begins ot boil slightly..add corn starch to thicken..once shrimp are out of the fryer toss them in the pan with the kahlua sauce and sticky them up..I serve these with rice and refried beans or alone as a appetizer
