These are wonderful to have on hand for game days or when you have unexpected guests. They freeze wonderfully and the recipe is easy to double. If you can't find the Old English, Kahuna sharp cheese spread can be substituted.

    english muffins, split and toasted
  • 12 oz
    imitation crabmeat, chopped
  • 5 oz
    jar kraft old english cheese spread
  • 1 stick
    salted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    old bay seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 Tbsp
    parsley flakes
  • 3 dash(es)
    frank's red hot, or preferred pepper sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    roasted red peppers, finely chopped

How to Make Poor Man's Crab Cakes


  1. Combine softened butter, cheese spread and mayonnaise until well blended and smooth.
  2. Add seasonings,imitation crab and roasted peppers mix well.
  3. Spread on toasted muffins and bake in a 350 oven until browned.
