These are wonderful to have on hand for game days or when you have unexpected guests. They freeze wonderfully and the recipe is easy to double. If you can't find the Old English, Kahuna sharp cheese spread can be substituted.

Ingredients

  • 8 - english muffins, split and toasted
  • 12 ounces imitation crabmeat, chopped
  • 5 ounces jar kraft old english cheese spread
  • 1 stick salted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon old bay seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 3 dashes frank's red hot, or preferred pepper sauce
  • 2 tablespoons roasted red peppers, finely chopped

How To Make poor man's crab cakes

  • Step 1
    Combine softened butter, cheese spread and mayonnaise until well blended and smooth.
  • Step 2
    Add seasonings,imitation crab and roasted peppers mix well.
  • Step 3
    Spread on toasted muffins and bake in a 350 oven until browned.
