How To Make poached shrimp with ginger soy cocktail sauce

1Place the water, ginger pieces, bay leaves, and salt in a large pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and simmer 10 minutes.

2Meanwhile, mix the ketchup, ginger, soy sauce, and vinegar. Set aside. Place ice cubes in a bowl.

3Add the shrimp to the simmering water and cook for about 5 minutes.

4With a slotted spoon, place the shrimp on top of the ice and let them cook a bit. Serve with the cocktail sauce.
