I use to make these a lot when ,I lived in New Orleans they are great to fill with you favorite Hot Dip or Appetizer..Very eazy and a lot cheaper then buying them all ready made...You can cut this in half.I am making some for the Valentine Party at church..I have made these in a tiny mini muffin pan..But a pattie -shell pan is best..I worked in a resturant that made these and I tweaked their recipe,to fit my needs..They used margine ,and I found they got soggy to quick,and I added the red pepper,and more cream cheese...

Ingredients

  • - 1 cup of flour
  • - 2 sticks of butter-real butter
  • - 1-8 ounce package of cream cheese
  • - dash of salt ,red pepper and black pepper

How To Make pattie shells

  • Step 1
    Work all ingredients together as you would bread on a floured surface.It is ready when not sticky and greasy.Keep extra flour on the side to add if needed.
  • Step 2
    Useing a pattie -shell baking pan ,pinch off small pieces of dough.and using your thumb press into ungreased cups of pan.Bake 10 minutes....
  • Step 3
    Personal Note I often cut this recipe in half.Be sure and use Real Butter ,gives it the flakeyness...
