  • 2 Tbsp
    clam broth
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    star anise
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 9
    oysters, shucked with liquor
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    chili sauce
  • 1/2 c
    half and half
  • 1 slice
  • pinch

How to Make Oyster Pan Roast


  1. In top of double boiler place clam broth.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of the butter.
  3. Add 1/4 teaspoon paprika.
  4. Add celery salt.
  5. Add worcestershire sauce then stir gently.
  6. Add oysters and simmer just until their edges start to curl, about 1 minute.
  7. Stir in chili sauce and half and half and heat through.
  8. Place a slice of toast in warm bowl.
  9. Pour oyster pan roast over toast and float remaining tablespoon of butter on top.
  10. Sprinkle with a pinch of paprika.
  11. Serve immediately.
