How To Make old bay shrimp cocktail
-
Step 1Mix the ketchup, mayo, horseradish, vinegar and 1 tsp Old Bay together and store in fridge to marry ingredients.
-
Step 2Peel and devein the shrimp, keeping the shrimp shells. Add 4 cups of water to a stock pot. Add the shrimp shells into the water with the garlic and the remaining Old Bay seasoning. Bring to a boil and boil for 10 minutes. Strain the stock and return it to the pan.
-
Step 3Bring back to a boil. Set a bowl of ice near the pan. Add the shrimp to the boiling stock and boil about 3 minutes. Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon into the bowl of ice. Once shrimp is cool, serve with the dipping sauce and lemon wedges.
