Just tried this recipe for the first time on Christmas Eve with my family and it was a hit! If you love shrimp, you must try this recipe. It is amazing!

  • 2 lb
    cooked medium shrim p, peeled and deveined
  • 1 medium
    red onion, cut into rings
  • 3 medium
    lemons, cut into slices
  • 1 c
    pitted ripe olives, drained
  • 1/2 c
    olive oil
  • 1/3 c
    minced fresh parsley
  • 3 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp
    red wine vinegar
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced fresh basil or 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 tsp
    ground mustard
  • 1/4 tsp

How to Make Marinated Shrimp


  1. In a 3-qt. glass serving bowl, combine the shrimp, onion, lemons, and olives.
  2. In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the remaining ingredients; shake well. Pour over shrimp mixture and stir gently to coat.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours, stirring occasionally. Discard bay leaf before serving.
