2 lbunpeeled, medium fresh shrimp
6 csalted water
1 1/2 cwhite vinegar
1 ccanola oil
1/4 ccapers, undrained
1/2 tspkosher salt
1 1/2 tspcelery salt
3 mediumred or white onions, sliced and separated into rings
How to Make Marinated Shrimp
- Peel shrimp leaving tails on. De-vein if desired. Bring water to boil; add shrimp and cook 3 minutes or just until shrimp turns pin. Drain and rinse with cold water. Chill.
- Combine sugar and next 5 ingredients in a shallow dish. Add shrimp alternately with onions. Cover and chill at least 6 hours, turning often. Drain and discard marinade before serving.
