longhorn's wild west shrimp w/prairie dust
My daughter Lexi and I love going to Longhorn Steakhouse as a special treat. We end up ordering two orders of this because we love it soooo much. This is not my recipe but a copycat. I am making a cookbook for my kids and it wouldn't be complete without this recipe! Love you Lexi and I hope everytime you make this you think of me and our special dinners!

Ingredients
- FOR THE SHRIMP
- 1 package popcorn shrimp~12 ozs. (seapak)
- 1~2 - cherry peppers, sliced
- - juice of one lemon
- 1 stick butter
- - ranch dressing, or use the one i have posted here as well
- LONGHORN PRAIRIE DUST
- 1/2 cup paprika
- 1/4 cup kosher salt, finely ground
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons mustard powder
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 1/4 cup cumin
- 2 tablespoons ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup granulated garlic
- 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
How To Make longhorn's wild west shrimp w/prairie dust

Step 1Mix all Prairie Dust ingredients and store in a container. This makes extra which can be used on a big, juicy ribeye steak sprinkled on after cooking or used as a rub.

Step 2Fry shrimp in large skillet according to package directions. Drain and pat dry with a paper towel.

Step 3Place stick of butter in a large saucepan with juice of 1 lemon. Heat over medium low heat until butter is melted.

Step 4Add fried shrimp, cherry peppers and 1 1/2 teaspoons Prairie Dust mixture. Mix together and simmer on low heat until flavors mix, about 5 minutes.

Step 5Transfer to serving dish and dip in Ranch dressing. Simply divine! Hope you enjoy it as much as Lexi and I do!
