These shrimp are finger licking good. You could use store bought hot honey and skip the sriracha and honey and just use 2 tablespoons hot honey.

Ingredients

  • 16 shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/3 cup kewpie mayo
  • 1/2 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4 cup rice flour
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 1 large egg white
  • neutral oil, for deep frying
  • green onions, for garnish

How To Make hot honey mayo shrimp

  • Step 1
    Mix the Kewpie mayo, Sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar together in a large bowl and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Place the rice flour and corn starch in a shallow dish and add the salt and white pepper. Place the egg white in a second shallow dish.
  • Step 3
    Place the oil over medium high heat and heat to 375 degrees. Dredge the shrimp in the egg white then dredge in the flour corn starch mixture.
  • Step 4
    In batches add the shrimp to the hot oil and cook about 90 seconds.
  • Step 5
    Remove the shrimp to a paper towel lined paper plate.
  • Step 6
    Once all the shrimp is cook add to the bowl with the mayo mixture and toss until the mixture coats all the shrimp. Garnish with green onions.
