I am always asked for the recipe for this. Everyone wants to know what is in it!!

The last time I made it, I added the zest of one lemon. It was very, very good!

Ingredients

  • 2 can(s)
    minced clams plus juice
  • 1 medium
    onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh lemon juice
  • dash(es)
    pepper
  • 1 c
    bread crumbs (approximately)
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic salt or more to taste
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    dried parsley or equivalent of fresh
  • ·
    parmesan cheese, for sprinkling

How to Make Hot Clam Spread

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all ingredients together except Parmesan cheese. Be sure to add bread crumbs last, as more or less than 1 cup may be needed, depending on amount of clam juice.
  2. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  3. Bake at 350° for 20 minutees.
  4. Serve with crackers.
