herb shrimp with garlic aioli dip

I ate this in a restaurant in Florida, liked it so much, went home and by trial and error made this....

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds shrimp shelled & deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary fine chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves fine chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, fresh
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • GARLIC AIOLI DIP
  • 8 cloves small garlic minced
  • pinch salt
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh

How To Make herb shrimp with garlic aioli dip

  • Step 1
    In Med bowl, toss together shrimp,garlic,rosemary,thyme,olive oil,lemon juice,salt & pepper, set aside to marinate at room temp for 30 min In large skillet, over med heat,add shrimp and marinade ingredients, saute turning frequently, for 5 min, or until shrimp are opaque, and just cooked thru,serve with Aioli
  • Step 2
    Aioli Dip in small bowl, combine garlic and pinch of salt,using the back of a spoon scrape and press garlic against sides of bowl to make a very smooth paste, ADD remaining ingredients and wisk together until combined, place plastic wrap over bowl refridgerate at least 30 min, for flavors to come together serve cold Makes about 2 cups
