Being from Florida a good crab cake is a staple for any good get together. This one is easy to do, I like to make extra to freeze for those occassions when I want a quick snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound crabmeat
  • 1 cup italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon old bay seasoning
  • - vegetable oil for frying

How To Make gulf style crab cakes

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl mix bread crumbs, egg, mayonnaise, and seasonings. Add crabmeat to the mixture gently but thoroughly. (If mixture seems a little dry add a touch more mayonnaise.
  • Step 2
    Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate overnight. This allows the flavors to blend.
  • Step 3
    Shape mixture into six cakes. Cook until browned(350 for about 10 minutes)
