grilled oysters with butter and wine

Garlic, butter, a hot grill and fresh from the market oysters! Nothing starts a back yard cocktail party any better, well except for nicely chilled Chardonnay:)

Ingredients

  • 12 - oysters, fresh
  • 2 tablespoons chardonnay
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 - lemon
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, shredded

How To Make grilled oysters with butter and wine

  • Step 1
    Prepare charcoal grill to med-high heat. Wash Oysters
  • Step 2
    Put oysters on hot grill for approx 5 minutes or until oyster opens. CAREFULLY remove top shell, keeping the juices
  • Step 3
    Mix the chardonnay, butter, the juice of the lemon and garlic. Pour evenly amongst the oysters. Sprinkle with Parmesan and grill for an additional 5 minutes.
