all purpose flour
1 c
corn meal
1 Tbsp
kosher salt
1/2 tsp
cayenne pepper
12oz bottle amber beer
6oz catfish fillets
1 Tbsp
1 Tbsp
black pepper
2 Tbsp
granulated garlic
1 Tbsp
lemon juice

How to Make Fried Catfish


  • 1Pre-heat a deep fryer to 350. In a large bowl add flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt and cayenne pepper
    and whisk to combine.
  • 2Whisk in beer make sure to remove lumps. Cut the fish in half length wise to make strips or cut into bite sized pieces.
  • 3Place fish into batter and fry. Fried until fish is a golden brown. Drain fish and place onto a paper towel.
