I love calamari!! this is a great appetizer, or serve it as part of a fishermans platter.

Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh calamari, or buy cleaned fresh calamari and thaw.
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon italian seasonings
- 1 cup canola oil
How To Make easy italian fried calamari

Step 1Clean calamari, cut into 1/2" rings. In zip-lock plastic bag, Combine flour, salt, pepper and seasonings.

Step 2Add calamari, in small batches to bag. Seal, shake to coat evenly. Heat oil in lg skillet, over med-high until very hot.

Step 3Fry calamari in small batches 4-6 mins each side, or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. You can serve these w/ marinara sauce or hot pickled pepper.
