I love fried calamari and wanted an easy way to make it, this is it. You could probably add spices to it, but I wanted to keep it as simple as possible.

  • 1 lb
    cleaned calamari, tantacles intact.
  • 3/4 c
  • 1/2 tsp
    each salt and pepper.
  • 1 c
    marinara sauce for dipping
  • 1 c
    canola oil for frying

How to Make Easy fried calamari, ( squid.)


  1. Cut calamari into 1/2"-rings. In a lg plastic resealable bag, combine flour, salt and peper.
  2. Add calamari in small batches and toss until fully coated w/ flour mix.
  3. In lg deep skilllet, heat oil over med-high heat until hot. Fry calamari, in small batches for 4-6 min, or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve w/ warmed marinara sauce.
