So few ingredients for such a delicious appetizer. Wonderful for parties. My girlfriend, Deanna, makes these for get togethers. YUM! NOTE: For best results, make the with thin bacon. If you use thick cut, you may want to partially cook it before wrapping the shrimp. Otherwise the shrimp will be overcooked.

prep time 30 Min
cook time 15 Min
method Bake
yield 8-10 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, tail on
  • 1 pound bacon (do not use thick cut)
  • 1 bottle heinz chili sauce (use the brand)
  • - toothpicks

How To Make deanna's bacon wrapped shrimp

  • Step 1
Cut the bacon strips in thirds.
  • Step 2
Wrap the bacon around the shrimp and secure with a toothpick.
  • Step 3
Lay out on a sheetpan , brush with the chili sauce. Bake at 350 for 5 minutes, flip then bake about another 5 minutes or until shrimp and bacon are cooked.
  • Step 4
Keep warm in a chafing dish. If you do not intend to keep warm in a chafing dish (for a party), you may want to cook them a few more minutes on each side. They 'finish cooking' in the chafing dish.
