Cute Cherry/Crab Appetizers
(you can use white albacore tuna in place of the crab, if you like.)
Really need a picture.
1 pkgcream cheese, 3-oz, room temp
2 Tbspsour cream
2 tspdry sherry
1/2 tsppoppy seeds
1 can(s)crab meat (6-1/2 oz), drained and flaked, or fresh, if you can get it
30 sprig(s)parsley for garnish (tiny), one per tomato)
How to Make Cute Cherry/Crab Appetizers
- Remove stems from washed tomatoes; cut off tops to make small caps, set aside, and scoop pulp from bottoms.
- In medium bowl, blend cream cheese, sour cream and sherry; stir in remaining filling ingredients.
- Fill tomatoes with crab mixture. Stick toothpicks into centers of caps, and stick securely into filled tomatoes. Will hold several hours. *NOTE: if you'd like, when inserting toothpicks into tomatoes, add tiny sprig of parsley to tomato cap before toothpicking.
- Refrigerate till serving time.
