Notes from the Test Kitchen:
The cocktail sauce really stepped this appetizer up! The sweet relish, the horseradish and the Louisiana hot sauce really made for a great flavor combination.


30 medium
cooked shrimp (rinsed, patted dry and tails cut off) tiny salad shrimp can be used also
1 c
ketchup (Brooks is best)
3-4 tsp
hot horseradish
1-2 tsp
sweet relish (drained)
2 tsp
lemon juice
few dashes tobassco sauce or louisiana hot sauce
1 small
container whipped Philadelphia Cream Cheese (with or with out chives)
Rtz or Townhouse crackers

How to Make Cream Cheese Shrimp Cocktail Appetizers


  • 1Mix together ketchup, horseradish, sweet relish, lemon juice, Tabasco in small bowl ... spread a small spoon of whipped cream cheese on each cracker making a small well in center, add a small amount of cocktail sauce in well, place 1 shrimp in center or 2 small salad shrimp. Make up party platter with sprigs of parsley for garnish and Enjoy !
