This recipe I got from an old friend who has now passed. I doctored it up for my own taste. I make it every year for the Super Bowl in this shape of a football. And for other occasions, I make it just because... it tastes so very good.

Ingredients

  • 1 package cream cheese, room temperature (8 oz.)
  • 2 cups sharp shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 medium onion, chopped fine
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup canned crabmeat, flaked, drain juice
  • 1 teaspoon horseradish
  • 1/2 cup cocktail sauce
  • - pretzels sticks and assorted crackers/vegetables

How To Make crabby football cheese spread

  • Step 1
    In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, ricotta, sour cream, lemon juice, garlic powder, and horseradish till smooth.
  • Step 2
    Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Form mixture into the shape of a football. Place pretzels on top for laces.
  • Step 3
    Serve with crackers and or vegetables.
