    14 large button mushrooms
  • ·
    2 t. minced onion
  • ·
    1 or 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ·
    3 t. olive oil
  • ·
    4 oz. crab meat
  • ·
    4 oz. fresh spinach, chopped
  • ·
    tabasco sauce to taste
  • ·
    1/4 t. old bay seasoning
  • ·
    1/8 t. dried thyme
  • ·
    1/8 t. salt
  • ·
    freshly ground pepper to taste
  • ·
    1/4 cup milk
  • ·
    2 t. bread crumbs
  • ·
    4 oz. monterey jack cheese, cut into 14 small thin slices

How to Make Crab stuffed Mushrooms


  1. Remove stems from mushrooms and chop, reserving caps. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil in skillet until tender. Add crab meat, spinach, mushroom stems, Tabasco sauce, Old Bay seasoning, thyme, salt and pepper. Sauté until spinach is wilted. Stir in the milk. Simmer for 4 minutes. Add bread crumbs and mix well. Stuff mixture in mushrooms and arrange in baking dish oiled with olive oil. Top each mushroom with a slice of cheese. Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Serves 14
