crab stuffed mushrooms

I make this every year for a work party. A double batch is gone before everyone gets through the line and a quadruple batch didn't last long either. The stuffing works great as a spread for crackers (in case you have those who are allergic or just don't like mushrooms).

Ingredients
- 1 package (7 oz) crab & shrimp shredded style (just plain crab meat will work also)
- 3 - green onions chopped finely
- 1/4 cup real bacon pieces
- 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup shredded parm cheese
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 package cream cheese (8 oz)
- 32 ounces white button mushrooms - medium size (no bigger than golf ball size)
- 1/2 cup stick butter
- 1 package shredded mozerella cheese
How To Make crab stuffed mushrooms

Step 1Mix first 7 ingredients so that all is well coated with spices.

Step 2Add 1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese (room temp). Mix well.

Step 3Remove stem and spore area from mushrooms and clean.

Step 4Stuff mushrooms level and top with your choice of cheese. (I have used shredded parm and an italian blend)

Step 5This will stuff ABOUT TWO 16 oz packages of the button mushrooms.

Step 6Place in baking dish / cookie sheet and dice butter between mushrooms here and there.

Step 7I bake at 350. About 10 minutes if on a cookie sheet or up to 20 minutes if the sides are deeper (like a baking dish).
