crab rangoons - chicken vanco's
I have always loved these as a starter with Asian dishes or even just fried rice. I have tried many different recipes for them but they never came out how I liked them. So I made my own!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 packages 8oz cream cheese
- 8 ounces imitation crabmeat
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- 3 - 4 medium green onions
How To Make crab rangoons - chicken vanco's
-
Step 1Soften Cream cheese place in a bowl. Flake in crabmeat into chunks. Dice up the tops of the green onion and a small portion of the white. Mix all together with a two prong {grill or steak} fork. Using this will break up the crabmeat without making the mixture "mushy".
-
Step 2Using water wet the edges of the wonton wrapper. Place a spoonful of mixture in the wrapper and seal edges all the way around by folding over, or if you want to get fancy pull all 4 corners up and pinch edges closed. Repeat until all mixture is used.
-
Step 3Heat oil for frying... place rangoon into oil and fry until golden brown.
-
Step 4Now here is where I cheat. I serve these with sweet and sour sauce... I just go to my local Chinese quick service and pay for it because I have yet to master the sauce. Dip and Enjoy!!!!
-
Step 5MODIFICATIONS..... IF YOU DO NOT LIKE CRABMEAT THESE CAN BE MADE WITH REPLACING THE CRABMEAT FOR CHICKEN BREASTS. THEY COME OUT JUST AS GOOD.
