I have always loved these as a starter with Asian dishes or even just fried rice. I have tried many different recipes for them but they never came out how I liked them. So I made my own!

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 2 1/2 pkg
    8oz cream cheese
  • 8 oz
    imitation crabmeat
  • 1 pkg
    wonton wrappers
  • 3 - 4 medium
    green onions

How to Make Crab Rangoons - Chicken Vanco's

Step-by-Step

  1. Soften Cream cheese place in a bowl. Flake in crabmeat into chunks. Dice up the tops of the green onion and a small portion of the white. Mix all together with a two prong {grill or steak} fork. Using this will break up the crabmeat without making the mixture "mushy".
  2. Using water wet the edges of the wonton wrapper. Place a spoonful of mixture in the wrapper and seal edges all the way around by folding over, or if you want to get fancy pull all 4 corners up and pinch edges closed. Repeat until all mixture is used.
  3. Heat oil for frying... place rangoon into oil and fry until golden brown.
  4. Now here is where I cheat. I serve these with sweet and sour sauce... I just go to my local Chinese quick service and pay for it because I have yet to master the sauce. Dip and Enjoy!!!!
  5. MODIFICATIONS..... IF YOU DO NOT LIKE CRABMEAT THESE CAN BE MADE WITH REPLACING THE CRABMEAT FOR CHICKEN BREASTS. THEY COME OUT JUST AS GOOD.
