The only part that makes this medium level for difficulty is the time it takes to fold all the wontons.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese (2 pgs.)
  • 12 ounces imitation crab (or crab)
  • 1 bunch chopped green onions
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 packages wonton wraps
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

How To Make crab rangoon

  • Step 1
    Turn on deep fryer- use corn oil.
  • Step 2
    Place crab meat, cream cheese, onions, salt onion powder, and sugar in food processor. Pulse-into lumpy paste.
  • Step 3
    Place teaspoon full of paste in middle of wonton wrap. Moisten edges and draw up opposite corners. (use folding direction on wonton package.)Make sure all edges are sealed.(important step) To keep wontons from drying out cover with damp paper towel, until ready to cook all.
  • Step 4
    Deep fry until golden brown. Try it with my plum sauce recipe! Yum!
