These are so easy to make. You can make a bunch and keep them in the freezer and bring them out when you have guests. They'll be impressed!

Ingredients

  • 1 package english muffins
  • 1 can crabmeat (not claw), well drained
  • 1 stick butter, room temperature
  • 1 jar old english shar cheddar cheese, room temp
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon old bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

How To Make crab meltaways

  • Step 1
    Slice muffins into halves and cut each half into fourths and arrange on cookie sheet. Place crabmeat in colander and rinse with cold water. Drain crabmeat on paper towels, checking for shells. Mix crabmeat with softened butter, cheese, mayonnaise, and seasonings. Spread on English muffins. Freeze for at least 30 minutes. (Can be frozen for several weeks.) Broil until they puff up and are bubbly and slightly golden brown. Serve hot.
