  • 1 pound crabmeat
  • 1 1/2 cups soft bread crumbs, lightly packed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 - egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • SAUCE INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh dill
  • - hot sauce
  • 1 small tomato, chopped

How To Make crab cakes with tomato dill sauce

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients except Tomato Dill Sauce and oil.
  • Step 2
    Shape mixture into 8 patties, each about 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
  • Step 3
    Cover and refrigerate about 1 1/2 hours or until firm.
  • Step 4
    Prepare Tomato Dill Sauce; cover and refrigerate until serving.
  • Step 5
    Heat oil in 10 inch skillet over medium high heat.
  • Step 6
    Cook patties in oil about 5 minutes, turning once, until light brown on both sides.
  • Step 7
    Serve with sauce.
  • Step 8
    TOMATO DILL SAUCE: Mix all ingredients.
