  • 2 1/2 oz
    whole butter ,clarified
  • 1/2 tsp
    chopped garlic
  • 1/2 tsp
    chopped shallots
  • 3 Tbsp
    diced red bell peppers
  • 3 Tbsp
    diced yellow bell peppers
  • 3 Tbsp
    diced green bell peppers
  • 1/2 tsp
    chopped fresh basil
  • 1/2 tsp
    chopped fresh thyme
  • 1/2 tsp
    chopped fresh oregano
  • 12 oz
    jumbo lump crab meat
  • 2 tsp
    french's mustard
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • ·
    pinch of salt
  • ·
    pinch of creole seasoning
  • 1
    egg
  • 5 oz
    plain bread crumbs

How to Make CRAB CAKES

Step-by-Step

  1. CLARIFY BUTTER ON LOW HEAT IN A SKILLET
  2. COMBINE IN A BOWL REST OF INGREDIENTS (EXCEPT) CRAB MEAT
  3. CAREFULLY FOLD IN CRAB MEAT,TAKING CARE TO KEEP LARGE CHUNKS INTACT
  4. PREPARE 2 OZ. PORTIONS IN A PATTY SHAPE
  5. PLACE CRAB CAKES IN HEATED AND BUTTERED SKILLET. BROWN BOTH SIDES OVER HIGH HEAT FOR 2 MINS. PER SIDE
  6. SERVE WITH SERRANO-GARLIC MAYO. (SEE RECIPE FOR THIS)
