Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 pound shrimp: peeled, deveined and chopped
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 2 tablespoons cajun, creole or blackening seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cracker barrel white extra sharp cheese
- - extra butter to saute shrimp
How To Make cheesy cajun shrimp topper

Step 1In a 2 QT sauce pan, melt butter, whisk in flour. Cook to a golden blonde color. Increase heat, whisk in stock and half&half. Simmer until thickened, adding in cheese at the very end until melted and smooth.

Step 2In a saute pan, saute shrimp in butter adding in cajun seasonings. Cook through. add entire shrimp mixture to cheese sauce.

Step 3Serve over meats, fish, pastas, rice, crusty bread, even as a stuffing for zucchini, eggplant or peppers.
