cajun style shrimp dip

The pic is of the shrimp dip on toasted crostini bread & a cucumber slice & dill. (The other half of the crostini is w/ a chicken caprese, recipe posted.) You can use canned shrimp, I presume, with great results too. Also, when I made this, I only had about 5/6 ounces of cream cheese. So, I added 2 TB of sour cream, plus about 2 TB of mayo to it & it was great.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temp
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream (heaping tbs)
  • 1/2 - cooked shrimp, chopped fine seasoned w/ bay seasoning & salt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice, plus 1 teaspoon of lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons cajun seasoning (may want more)
  • - celery seed, onion powder, garlic powder, white pepper to taste
  • - splash of hot sauce
  • - chopped or dried dill
  • - scallions

How To Make cajun style shrimp dip

  • Step 1
Make sure shrimp is well drained & dried off w/ paper towels. (I like to put mine in the fridge after it cooks for a few hours & then drain it again).
  • Step 2
Just mix all these yummies together. You will want to adjust the Cajun seasoning & all other seasonings to your taste. If you don't have the exact seasonings that I used, don't worry about it! This is really easy & versatile.
  • Step 3
Enjoy w/ fresh veggies, crackers, etc.
