2 c
bread crumbs
4 Tbsp
graded cheese
1/2 c
crushed tomatoes
2 Tbsp
parsley, chopped
1/4 c
olive oil
salt and red pepper and black pepper to taste

How to Make Baked Mussels


  • 1Scrub mussels and pull off beads..( or use frozen cleaned mussels)
  • 2Prepare fry pan with tight lid. Add 3 to 4 tablespoons of olive oil 1/3 cup water, salt, pepper .Cover pan , let mussels steam till open . Remove mussels and cool. DO NOT USE UNOPENED MUSSELS
  • 3Remove mussels and place one on each 1/2shell discard other half of shell
  • 4Cover mussel with prepared stuffing and 1 Tbsp. of crushed tomatoes Sprinkle with chopped parsley .Drizzle with olive oil and remaining liquid from fry pan
  • 5Bake 400 degrees until golden brown about 12 to 15 min.
