I HATED liver until I tried this recipe about 20 years ago. Try this at your next gathering

Ingredients

  • 1 can whole water chestnuts
  • 3/4 can chicken livers cut in half
  • 1 pound bacon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce

How To Make rumaki

  • Step 1
    Fold each piece of liver around a water chestnut
  • Step 2
    Wrap with half a slice of bacon and fasten with a wooden toothpick
  • Step 3
    Mix together the remaining ingredients in a medium sized bowl and marinate the chicken livers for 2 hours turning occasionally.
  • Step 4
    Place each chicken liver on a rack in a shallow pan 4 -5 inches from heat and broil for 5 to 7 minutes turning once.
  • Step 5
    Serve hot with chinese mustard
