I HATED liver until I tried this recipe about 20 years ago. Try this at your next gathering

1 can(s)
whole water chestnuts
3/4 can(s)
chicken livers cut in half
1 lb
1/4 tsp
ground ginger
1 clove
garlic minced
1/2 c
soy sauce

How to Make Rumaki


  • 1Fold each piece of liver around a water chestnut
  • 2Wrap with half a slice of bacon and fasten with a wooden toothpick
  • 3Mix together the remaining ingredients in a medium sized bowl and marinate the chicken livers for 2 hours turning occasionally.
  • 4Place each chicken liver on a rack in a shallow pan 4 -5 inches from heat and broil for 5 to 7 minutes turning once.
  • 5Serve hot with chinese mustard
