Here is one more recipe for chicken wings, that is a must have; especially for the Super Bowl… Easy/Peasy to make, and taste awesome. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

- PLAN/PURCHASE
- 12 - 14 - chicken wings, tips removed, and separated into drumettes, and wings.
- THE SAUCE
- 1/3 cup dry sherry
- 3 tablespoons tamari sauce, or liquid aminos
- 2 tablespoons fresh clover honey
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 3 cloves baked garlic
- ADDITIONAL ITEMS
- - peeled ginger, about 1/2 inch (1/5cm)
- 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds

Step 1PREP/PREPARE

Step 2I am using a cast-iron skillet to bake these wings; however, you could use a regular skillet, or even a glass baking dish.

Step 3Gather your Ingredients (mise en place).

Step 4Add all the sauce ingredients together in a Ziploc bag, or non-reactive dish with a cover.

Step 5Add the chicken wings, and toss to coat.

Step 6Place in the fridge for 4 – 6 hours, or overnight.

Step 7Chef’s Note: Every once-and-awhile, open the fridge, and give the bag (or dish) a shake.

Step 8Place a rack in the middle position, and preheat the oven to 350f (175c).

Step 9Add the wings, and the sauce to a cast-iron pan, or whatever you are using.

Step 10Place into the oven, and bake for 20 minutes.

Step 11Remove from oven, flip the wings, and bake for an additional 20 minutes.

Step 12Remove the wings from the pan, add the additional piece of ginger, and reduce the sauce over medium-high heat, about 5 – 7 minutes.

Step 13Chef’s Tip: If you want the wings to be a bit crispier, place them on a baking sheet, and place them into a 375f (190c) oven, while you are reducing the sauce.

Step 15When the sauce is reduced, remove the added piece of ginger, then add the wings back into the sauce, toss, sprinkle with the sesame seeds, and serve while nice and hot. Enjoy.
