nor's baked hot wings

I wanted to come up with a recipe for a medium hot wing. I added in some agave to the mix. They were a hit on Super Bowl Sunday. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup butter, chopped
  • 3/4 cup Frank's original red hot sauce
  • 3 tablespoons agave syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese dressing for serving

How To Make nor's baked hot wings

  • Step 1
    If you didn't buy your wings already cut. Cut wing tips off at joint. Discard the tips. Cut second time at the other joint. You'll have two pieces.
  • Step 2
    Heat oven to 500°.
  • Step 3
    Place wings on a rack. Place rack on top of foil lined sheet pan.
  • Step 4
    Place in oven and bake until crispy on top. Flip wings over and crisp till nice and brown and crispy
  • Step 5
    While the wings are baking, place chopped butter in a saucepan. Heat and low to melt butter.
  • Step 6
    Remove butter from heat. Add in the hot sauce, Agave, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Mix well. Keep sauce warm.
  • Step 7
    Remove wings from oven. Move wings to a bowl. Pour hot sauce over the wings Toss well to coat all sides.
  • Step 8
    Place wings on a platter. Serve with blue cheese dressing of choice.
