I wanted to come up with a recipe for a medium hot wing. I added in some agave to the mix. They were a hit on Super Bowl Sunday.

  • 3 lb
    chicken wings
  • 1/4 c
    butter, chopped
  • 3/4 c
    Frank's original red hot sauce
  • 3 Tbsp
    agave syrup
  • 1 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt and pepper
  • 1/2 c
    blue cheese dressing for serving

How to Make Nor's Baked Hot Wings


  1. If you didn't buy your wings already cut. Cut wing tips off at joint. Discard the tips. Cut second time at the other joint. You'll have two pieces.
  2. Heat oven to 500°.
  3. Place wings on a rack. Place rack on top of foil lined sheet pan.
  4. Place in oven and bake until crispy on top. Flip wings over and crisp till nice and brown and crispy
  5. While the wings are baking, place chopped butter in a saucepan. Heat and low to melt butter.
  6. Remove butter from heat. Add in the hot sauce, Agave, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Mix well. Keep sauce warm.
  7. Remove wings from oven. Move wings to a bowl. Pour hot sauce over the wings Toss well to coat all sides.
  8. Place wings on a platter. Serve with blue cheese dressing of choice.
