These appetizers are hearty for a party and have just the right amount of heat. Recipe appeared in 'Taset of Home' Aug/Sep 2007 - I don't know who submitted it, but it's been a favorite of ours ever since. After baking, I transfer wings to crock pot to keep warm while serving.

Ingredients

  • 7-8 pounds chicken wings (uncooked)
  • 4 cups ketchup
  • 2 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 1 cup hot sauce
  • 1/3 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

How To Make hot wings

  • Step 1
    Place chicken in 10X15 baking dish. Arrange in single layer.
  • Step 2
    Mix remaining ingredients and pour over chicken.
  • Step 3
    Bake uncovered @ 350 degrees for one hour, or until chicken juices run clear. Spoon sauce from pan over wings if desired.
  • Step 4
    Serve with Ranch or Blu Cheese dressing
