These wings situation are super crunchy. I served them with store bought garlic aioli but it would of been better if I made my own.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 bunch scallions chopped
  • 8 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour
  • water
  • oil for frying

How To Make hot honey crunchy wings with garlic aioli

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl combine the hoisin sauce, eggs, sugar, soy sauce, scallions, garlic, flour, cornstarch, and glutinous rice flour. Mix with a little water to make it a thick batter not runny but loose enough to stick the wings. Place the wings in the batter and mix well.
  • Step 2
    Place in fridge and let marinate over night or at least 4 hours. Heat oil to 300 degrees. preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • Step 3
    Deep fry the wings in batches until browned well. Place on baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes. Serve with garlic aioli.
