These yummy chicken lettuce wraps are tops in flavor and texture. Ground chicken lightens up the wraps, but thanks to lime juice, soy sauce, diced bell pepper, and other seasonings these are full of flavor. We love the crunchy texture that water chestnuts added to the lettuce wraps. They're easy on the waistline and a tasty snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 package stir-fry seasoning powder
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 pound ground chicken breast
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup water chestnuts, diced
  • 2 tablespoons scallions, thinly sliced
  • 1 pinch red chili pepper flakes
  • 1 - head romaine lettuce

How To Make chinese chicken lettuce wraps

  • Seasoning, water, soy sauce, lime juice, and sugar in a bowl.
    Step 1
    In a small bowl, combine seasoning, water, soy sauce, lime juice, and sugar. Set aside.
  • Browning ground chicken.
    Step 2
    Heat canola oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken. Using a wooden spoon to break up the meat. Cook until browned (about 10 minutes).
  • Adding peppers, water chestnuts, scallions, and chili pepper flakes, and seasoning mixture.
    Step 3
    Add red bell pepper, water chestnuts, scallions, and red chili pepper flakes. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir in reserved seasoning mixture.
  • Cooking until liquid evaporates.
    Step 4
    Cook until liquid evaporates (about 2 to 3 minutes).
  • Chinese Chicken Lettuce Wraps assembled.
    Step 5
    Add ground chicken mixture to lettuce leaves. Garnish with bean sprouts, chopped mint, or peanuts, if desired.
