Asian chicken satay consists of a marinated meat or seafood, broiled or grilled on skewers.

Ingredients For chicken satay

  • 2 lb
    boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/3 c
    hoisin sauce
  • 1/3 c
    duck or plum sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    sliced green onion
  • 2 tsp
    ginger root, grated
  • 2 Tbsp
    dry sherry
  • 2 Tbsp
    rice wine vinegar

How To Make chicken satay

  • 1
    Trim fat from chicken thighs and cut lengthwise in half. Thread 1 strip each onto 12 (10-inch skewers.)

    Mix all ingredients, except chicken in a large glass dish. Add chicken, turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours, turning occasionally.

    Set oven to broil. Place on broiler pan and broil with tops 3 to 4 inches from heat about 4-5 minutes per side or until done.

    Heat marinade to boiling in a small saucepan. Boil for 1 minute. Serve with chicken.
