Chicken roll is basically a wrap of spiced chicken fillings with vegetables inside a golden paratha. Sometime coated with eggs or drizzled with green chutney.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams chicken breast
  • 2 medium onion
  • 2 medium green capsicum
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 4 medium eggs
  • 1/2 cup yoghurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 100 grams refined flour
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

How To Make chicken roll recipe

  • Step 1
    Wash and cut the chicken into small bite size pieces. In a mixing bowl, add the chicken, yoghurt, chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala, lemon juice, salt and oil. Mix nicely and set aside to marinate.
  • Step 2
    Take the flour and mix with 1 tablespoon oil and small pinch of salt. Rub and mix well. Then add water as required to knead tand make a soft dough. Grease the dough with some oil and cover.
  • Step 3
    Now bake or pan roast the chicken till golden and we'll cooked.
  • Step 4
    Heat oil in a pan and fry ginger garlic paste till the raw smell of ginger garlic paste goes
  • Step 5
    Add finely sliced onion and capsicum. Stir fry them under high heat flame for a minute.
  • Step 6
    Then add chilli powder, cumin powder and garam masala powder. Add the chicken and mix nicely. Add tomato sauce and salt. Give a final mix and remove the fillings.
  • Step 7
    Divide the dough into equal parts and roll them between the palm of your hand to make round shape balls.
  • Step 8
    Dust a ball with some flour and roll into round shape circle with a roller pin.
  • Step 9
    Roast the rolled dough on a pan on both sides till crisp golden brushing some oil or butter.
  • Step 10
    Best a egg and pour over the bread and flip. Cook for 1 minute or till the egg get cooked.
  • Step 11
    Remove and cook the rest of the dough with eggs.
  • Step 12
    Now take one paratha and spread some fillings over the egg side. Top with some slice onion and squeeze some lemon juice. Wrap and close with a paper napkins. Cut them into two parts and serve.
