Chicken Pecan Tarts

butter, or margarine
1 c
finely chopped pecans
1 c
finely chopped cooked chicken
1/2 c
chopped celery
1/4 c
miracle whip salad dressing
1 Tbsp
grey poupon dijon mustard
1 pkg
(8 ounces) cream cheese
1/4 tsp
1/2 tsp
ground nutmeg
1 pkg
(7 1/2 ounces) regular refrigerated biscuits

How to Make Chicken Pecan Tarts


  • 1In a large skillet, melt butter, add pecans and saute until lightly browned.
  • 2In a bowl, combine chicken, celery, dressing, mustard, cream cheese, salt and nutmeg.
    Add pecans, mix well.
  • 3Separate biscuits, roll each into a 4 inch circle.
    Press into foil baking cups, letting dough cover bottom and sides.
  • 4Place baking cups in muffins pans.
    Spoon chicken mixture into baking cups.

    Bake at 425 F for 12 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
  • 5Optional:
    Garnish with leaves / sprigs of fresh herbs.

    For a variation: Use prepared tart shells. Make the chicken pecan filling as directed above. Then place warm filling in the tart shells and serve immediately.
