I have tried this recipe using cooked chicken and canned chicken and, I can honestly say, they are both equally good. Just depends on how much time (and patience) you have. I also use the prepared minced garlic instead of smashing the cloves...

Ingredients
- 10 ounces cooked chicken, shredded (i use canned)
- 2 packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup ranch dressing
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (i use the stuff in the jar)
- 1/4 cup hot sauce ( use just a little)
- - shredded cheddar cheese (enough to cover the mixture)
How To Make buffalo chicken dip

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat cream cheese, ranch dressing, and hot sauce together.

Step 2Fold in chicken and garlic. Spread mixture into pie pan.

Step 3Bake for 15 minutes. Add cheddar cheese on top and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.

Step 4Use crackers, fritos, tortilla chips, celery or anything else you like to dip.
