This is a nice appetizer version of the famous Hot Brown sandwiches.

Ingredients

  • 16 slices pumpernickel bread party slices
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 2 pounds turkey, cooked, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

How To Make baby hot browns

    Arrange bread slices on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 500F for 3-4 minutes.

    Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat; add flour, and cook, whisking constantly until smooth. Add cheddar cheese, whisking until cheese melts.
